New approach to social housing regulation The revised regulatory framework for registered social housing providers has been announced. Changes include making a sharp distinction between the regulator's economic and consumer regulation roles, and will be in place from 1 April 2012, when the HCA assumes the regulatory role.

TSA publishes global accounts 2011 The TSA has published its accounts for the financial year ending March 2011. Key results show that the sector has continued to grow strongly, with social housing assets increasing by £8.5bn to a book value of £109bn.
