The revised regulatory framework has been set out

New approach to social housing regulation
The revised regulatory framework for registered social housing providers has been announced. Changes include making a sharp distinction between the regulator's economic and consumer regulation roles, and will be in place from 1 April 2012, when the HCA assumes the regulatory role.

The TSA has published its accounts for the financial year ending March 2011. Key results show that the sector has continued to grow strongly, with social housing assets increasing by £8.5bn to a book value of £109bn.

The first residents have moved into the flagship Little Bickington Farm, a community-led village development of 16 affordable homes. The project is one of only a handful of community-led housing schemes in the country.

DCLG this week published a revised and consolidated planning framework which aims to simplify the planning process. The framework covers all forms of development and sets out national economic, environmental and social priorities by April 2012.
